Greetings! Welcome to my website.

My name is Frid Joanis, and I am an Assistant Professor in Japan currently working full-time at Gifu University and part-time at Gifu Shotoku Gakuen University. I have over 7 years of teaching experience in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

Currently, I teach courses focusing on the skills used in the four modalities of English. At Gifu University, the courses I teach are offered by the English Center, a department that is a part of the Organization for Promotion of Higher Education and Student Support (ORPHESS). The courses are: English 1 - Speaking, English 2 - Listening, English 3 - Reading, and English 4 - Writing. Moreover, I teach an English Communication speaking course at Gifu Shotoku Gakuen University.

As for research, I am interested in the fields of Linguistics, TESOL, and Psychology.
